The Scottish Executive received 102 applications for the first round of its International Development Fund and a rigorous evaluation process has taken place to determine which ones should be supported.

An alcohol research plan is currently being finalised in conjunction with NHS Health Scotland, and in addition we will have access to the findings of a review of available evidence of fetal effects of alcohol which the UK Department of Health is expected to complete early next year.
