In every case that I have dealt with, I have issued the MSP with the totality of the complaint.There would be very few occasions on which I would even contemplate not telling the MSP in the first instance who the complainer is.
In my view, it would not be common practice for individual MSPs to seek specific discussions with the Scottish Sentencing Council prior to any member’s bill—or perhaps on any topic.

—yet Mike Russell has continuously made disparaging comments in the media about people in public life, describing a well-respected female MP as having a tantrum and an MSP as being arrogant. Those are shocking words from someone who is supposed to build relationships.
