I have an apology from Beatrice Wishart MSP. Before moving to our first agenda item, I want to highlight to members that I gave evidence on Tuesday to the Bavarian Parliament’s Committee on Federal and European Affairs and Interregional Relations on the implications of Brexit for Scotland and for Scottish-Bavarian relations.
Waiting until 2024 is a little late, in my book. 11:15 Speaking more as a farmer than an MSP, I recognise the frustration that Chris Stark has just expressed at the lack of a policy for agriculture going forward.
Perhaps many of them should be sitting here as MSPs, too. There are, of course, considerations to do with whether an asylum seeker’s status may change, should they be elected to office.
What a fantastic debate that was; the Presiding Officer was positively purring with excitement as we discussed the topic. Many MSPs missed that debate, but the good news is that they can watch it on Parliament TV—I know that they want to do so.
