Scotland's care system for children and young people: subject profile - Support in further and higher education
The Care Experienced Bursary was introduced in 2017/18, at an initial rate of £7,625 per year for students in Higher Education (HE) and £4,185 for Further Education (FE) students.
Following the independent review of student support in 2017, Scottish Ministers announced the bursary would rise to £8,100 per year for HE and FE students from Academic Year (AY) 2018/19.1Scottish Government. (2020, November 16).
