Letter from Audit Scotland responding to Committees letter on upcoming Climate Change Plan 21 March

Annual reporting on Scotland’s greenhouse gas emissions has a two- year time lag (i.e. the 2024 reporting is for emissions in 2022),so it will not be possible to judge immediately at the end of the five-year carbon budget if the Scottish Government has achieved its emissions reductions targets.
