We are committed to ensuring that asylum seekers in Scotland have access to health, education and all the other services that they need. We are also assisting with employability by funding the new refugee doctors programme, which is unique in the UK.

To ask the Scottish Government how much it has allocated to the 2021-22 Arts Alive programme. The Scottish Government have allocated £150,000 for the Arts Alive programme for 2021-2022.
(S5O-04104) Work is under way on drafting the bill, and we plan to publish it as part of the legislative programme that is set out in the programme for government for this parliamentary year.
To be fair, it was amenable to making the necessary adjustments to encourage a response to the recession and support for Scottish Government initiatives to assist economic recovery. That must be our starting point for the next set of programmes.
If we can address those issues, combined with the Scottish guardianship service, Scotland will have a programme for dealing with young refugees of which we can be proud.
