Does the minister share my concern about the current level of pre-school provision—about the fact that, because children are entitled to pre-school provision from the term after their third birthday, and because most schools and many authorities have an annual intake, children who enter school at the age of four and a half go to school after one-and-a-half years' pre-school education, whereas children born in March go to school after two-and-a-half years' pre-school education?

It will add the word "and" to the end of proposed new section 17E(3D)(a) of the 1978 act.
