One small contractor, actively involved in the Affordable Housing Supply Programme, went into liquidation in the last year during the course of delivering a 15 home project.
To ask the Scottish Government when it plans to publish an updated Social Security Programme Business Case, and whether the update will include refreshed implementation cost estimates for the benefits.
I expect that most of Historic Scotland’s contribution will be part of our business as usual. We will seek to provide assistance through our grants programme and our usual heritage management programme.
Ideally, all the services that are required on the front line to assist children and young people would be delivered at the local level and, generally, as close to home as possible, unless there is a particular reason why that cannot happen, but all that requires additional resource.
The Public Sector Pay Policy for Staff Pay Remits 2011-12 published by the Scottish Government requires employers covered by the policy to pay their employees a Scottish Living Wage. This is currently set at £7.15 per hour.
