I appreciate the commitments that the minister has made today, particularly on engagement with MSPs such as me who have challenges in our areas at the moment.
However, I am also a patient, and the experience that I was giving you was my own. One strength of a lot of MSPs and everyone sitting round this table is that we all come to discussions, debates and policy with our experiences.
I thank colleagues for their kind words about my former MSP colleague, John Scott, who was in Parliament just a couple of weeks ago with his grandchildren.
I also thank Jackson Carlaw and former MSPs Alex Neil and Neil Findlay for the immense amount of work that they did, long before I came on the scene, on the devastation that mesh implants have caused in women’s lives.
Motion agreed to, That the Parliament appoints Murdo Fraser MSP as a Fund trustee of the Scottish Parliamentary Contributory Pension Fund, further to his nomination for such appointment by the Parliamentary corporation.
Crucially, will it include the £2 million that was desperately sought—again, in a letter that was sent to all MSPs—by the outdoor education sector, which is desperate for support in the pandemic?
