Almost the first meeting that I attended outside the Parliament as an MSP was on dementia. In response to a question on whether they could offer any clinical intervention that was likely to assist with dementia, the blunt answer from clinicians was that that would not be for 20 years.When I asked clinicians the same question last year, I got the same answer...
