Bail and Release from Custody (Scotland) Bill: Consideration prior to Stage 3 - Section 8

The section was amended at Stage 2 as a result of amendments lodged by the Scottish Government and Rona Mackay MSP. Changes included: providing that the power cannot be used to release prisoners more than 180 days before their scheduled release date extending the range of prisoners who would be excluded from release under the power.
