Of the 37 cases where allegations of abuse had been made, 26 (70 per cent) were found in court or were judged on the best available evidence to be false. Of the remainder, the allegations were unsubstantiated in nine cases (24 per cent), while the remaining two (5 per cent) were upheld.
You told us last week that you were confident that recent scheduling decisions “go well beyond our charter obligations” and that you “remain absolutely committed to broadcasting the best of Scottish culture” and “it is important in Scotland that we offer distinctive output that really celebrates the talent that we have ”.
The appointments process will also identify those that best meets the needs of the board which are underrepresented, including characteristics, such as sex, disability, age, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.

To start the process of creating rules, I suggest that the Committee should recommend that our Parliament appoint a delegate to observe the work of the Commission and participate as may be allowed, in order to benefit from what is already being done and ensure best practice in our own system.
