I am sure that they will have been able to access some of the packages that Kate Forbes has outlined. As an MSP, I have continued to advertise the presence of my office and its staff to support people in my constituency.
We should talk to those groups and include them. MSPs should ensure that, in any activity that they do—it does not need to be something that is connected to the committee—they use the language of human rights and include an analysis of human rights and equalities throughout their work.
I will touch on the intelligence gathering system. As a Lanarkshire MSP, I remember that, in 2014, there were reports of higher than expected mortality rates in acute hospitals in NHS Lanarkshire.
At my request, the clerks contacted John Lamont MSP, in his capacity as the Conservative Party’s business manager, to ask whether there were any issues other than the volume of groups that the Conservative MSPs are already members of.
