Although seventy four percent of respondents to the Committee's online survey either support or strongly support the proposed exemptions overall,there were considerable concerns about the proposed 20 minute rule.
However, the Committee was keen to explore what mechanisms would be in place to ensure that the agency will be held to account by stakeholders in the local community.
One of the online respondents, Ross Henderson, said that “some form of direct accountability to the people of the south of Scotland” should be considered in the Bill.
