You could then exert your devolved authority on the decision-making procedures at Whitehall and Westminster.Although the United Kingdom is not a fully federal United Kingdom and the powers of the House of Lords are somewhat attenuated—for example, compared with the relative powers of the Bundesrat—I suspect that there would still be a friendly reception for the idea.
