As a Government we are, and encourage others to be, a Living Wage Accredited Employer. We issued statutory guidance Addressing Fair Work Practices, including the Living Wage, in Procurement in October 2015.
Before I joined Clydesdale Befriending Group, I just sat in my house watching television and listening to the radio. I was friendly only with Gary, Elizabeth and William, who lived next to me.
I suspect that people would have forgotten about it by the time the register went live, so the idea is to push it towards the point at which the register becomes live.
For example, we can see how quickly the resource spending review that was published went completely out of date because of the energy crisis, the cost of living crisis and the fact that things such as public sector pay deals were going to have to be much higher than had been budgeted for.
