Improving policy making
In terms of how policy making can be improved, Edel Harris said there is insufficient information available about the impact of payments on people's lives, or even on how many disabled people are living in Scotland.
Everyone should have access to healthcare, including footcare services, no matter where they live. To deny people access leaves them vulnerable to infection, less mobile and more at risk of falling.

We should avoid inequality resulting from people who live on Gypsy Traveller sites ending up facing higher increases than those who live in social housing.
Both these reviews have taken steps to minimise the risk of jeopardising any live investigation or proceedings. These steps include working closely with relevant justice agencies to develop a protocol that sets out certain aspects of how a review will operate.
