I do not want to continue picking on Transport Scotland, because I think that the issue relates partly to the Improvement Service as well, but I will give a small example. MSPs regularly lodge parliamentary questions to get updates on the number of young people who have been issued with concessionary bus passes.

When the Government lays a report before the Parliament that is shared with relevant committees and made available to all MSPs, it should be for the lead committee to decide when and for how long it wants to scrutinise and respond to any such report—that should not be set out in law.

Inclusion Scotland and Camphill Scotland led on promoting the idea of a national care service and getting an MSP to sponsor it. We are completely supportive of the Disabled Children and Young People (Transitions to Adulthood) (Scotland) Bill, which we wrote the policy memorandum for.

The problem with self-directed support—as I remember very well, being a Glasgow MSP—was that some local authorities used it in a completely different way from others.
