This was of special importance following the Brexit vote which had a huge impact on EU (and other) migrants living in the UK in particular. After the vote, many EU migrants who had built their lives in Britain felt they had suddenly lost ground; not only had their legal premise for living in the UK suddenly become uncertain and questioned, but they also felt unwelcome and not wanted in the country any more.
