(2) Before section 1, insert— 10 “General duty to further conservation of biodiversity”. 1 (2A) In section 1 (duty to further the conservation of biodiversity), in subsection (2)— (a) the “and” immediately following paragraph (a) is repealed, (b) after paragraph (b) insert “, and (c) the need to act in the way best calculated to contribute to targets set in 15 regulations made under section 2C.”.
