To ask the Scottish Government, in light of its School support staff 2022 statistics, whether it will provide a breakdown by local authority of the increase of 2,803 pupil support assistants in schools between 2018 and 2022.

The starting point will always be that we want to motivate any offender to be part of a learning programme. I do not think that money is necessarily the only means of motivation and evidence seems to indicate that offenders who take part in such programmes do so because they genuinely want to learn.
