The Committee notes concerns regarding the length of the target date set out in the Bill, which at 21 years is considerably longer than the 14-year target previous Scottish administrations had worked to.
This will mean that the CCC is required to have specific reference to the most up to date set of inventory methods when providing its advice on target levels.

We would be grateful if the Scottish Government would provide an update on this work, together with implementation dates and detail on proposed monitoring arrangements.
Darvas et al. (2017) envisage the following scenarios to work out "membership fee commitment", listed from the largest possible "Brexit bill" to the smallest:
All planned budgetary commitments up to the end of 2020 related to the 2014-20 MFF (these include planned payments up to about 2025);
Actual legal and budgetary commitments made before the Brexit date (which include planned payments up to about 2023);
Planned payments up to 2020;
Only actual payments up to the Brexit date.
The Bill - relevant dates and documents
Michael Matheson MSP introduced the Civil Litigation (Expenses and Group Proceedings) (Scotland) Bill in the Scottish Parliament on 1 June 2017.
As I am sure that the cabinet secretary will acknowledge, I specifically met the Government to discuss amendments on which I thought that common ground would be found. I can give the date of those meetings to the chamber if it is useful.
Future rounds
The second round of negotiations will take place 18-20 March 2020 in London with dates for three more rounds agreed in the negotiations' terms of reference.
