Scottish Building Standards and Fire Safety: A Brief Overview - Verifiers
The Building (Scotland) Act 2003 gives Scottish Ministers the power to appoint other organisations as building standards verifiers. To date, Scottish Ministers have not appointed any organisations, other than local authorities, as building standards verifiers.
