It is however anticipated that a review will be scheduled for 2024. SPS have implemented a range of measures to lessen the impact of price increases including a temporary £1 per week supplement introduced to offset some of the price rises of canteen goods available to purchase, some of which have also been reduced to help with the rising costs.
The UK Government has yesterday announced a decision taken to defer obligations under Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging payments from October 2024 to October 2025. The Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging is being progressed by the UK Government, working in partnership with the Scottish and other devolved governments.
The development of strategies and infrastructure expansion plans will precede capital projects which are expected to commence in 2024, that will seek to draw in private investment from Charge Point Operators as part of the overall £60m funding of the programme.
