I would like to give some assurance to the petitioner that we are asking for a wider investigation than that of the revenue receipts alone. I support the principle of what Linda is saying.
It has been suggested that one way of fleshing out the code without making the primary legislation more cumbersome and restrictive is to include a requirement in the bill for the draft code of practice to be laid before Parliament under the affirmative procedure, as for the animal welfare code.
My next point is about whether lobbyists, as well as MSPs, should have a code of conduct. There is a strong case for making absolutely certain that lobbyists have such a code.

An applicant in receipt of pension credit does notqualify automatically for free advice and assistance on income grounds; howeverany pension credit income they receive is disregarded in the assessment ofdisposable income.
