Scottish social security benefits - Qualifying benefits for the young carer grant
These are the same as the qualifying benefits for carer's allowanceiQualifying benefits for carer's allowance are set out in s.70 Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 and are:
attendance allowance
highest or middle rate of disability living allowance care component (adults or children)
personal independent payment daily living component
armed forces independence payment or
constant attendance allowance in respect of an industrial or war disablement
The benefits that qualify a person for Scottish replacement for carer's allowance will also qualify them to receive the young carer grant.
