The Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee considered the regulations on 5 March and determined that it did not need to draw the Parliament’s attention to them on any grounds that are in its remit.
As Neil Findlay knows, members had the opportunity to question the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport when she came to Parliament with a statement on 30 March. The cabinet secretary is also due to appear in front of the Public Petitions Committee.
As ever, I will be happy to take questions. As you have said, convener, on 1 March the sub-committee took evidence from Deputy Chief Constable Will Kerr and Assistant Chief Constable Patrick Campbell on Brexit and policing.
The committee will next meet on 6 March, when it will continue stage 2 of the Civil Litigation (Expenses and Group Proceedings) (Scotland) Bill and take evidence on alternate dispute resolutions.
I expect to see improvements between now and the end of March. On 29 August, I announced the setting up of an expert group to reduce waiting times and improve the way in which elective care services are provided.
