If the opportunities are there and if good careers and jobs are there, we have to be optimistic that people will see the opportunities and move to where those opportunities are. For my sins, I am the convener of the cross-party group on social enterprise.
We should all work towards ensuring that those patients receive adequate healthcare. On a personal note, l understand too well the effects that COPD can have on a person’s life and on their family.
However, the region has also experienced tragic losses at sea, with the loss of crew members on boats such as the Solway Harvester and the Mhari-L. Those tragedies remind us of the incredibly dangerous conditions that our fishermen often face.
In line with that, BERD expenditure in Scotland in 2017 was £l,247 billion, which represents a 93.6 per cent increase in real terms between 2007 and 2017.
Our engagement with those organisations will continue as we work on eliminating the inequalities that continue to exist in our society, so that anyone who is L, G, B, T or I is empowered to fulfil their potential in our Scotland.

That is why I, too, welcome the first ever Gypsy Roma Traveller history month in Scotland, which is taking place this month. l look forward to hearing more about it.
