The Scottish Crofting Federation has expressed bitter disappointment that the crofting reform bill has not been included in the programme for government. Donald MacKinnon, the chair of the federation, described it as “galling” that neither the bill nor any actions specific to crofting were included in the programme.
We are also delivering new tonnage to support communities, and we are working with CMal, CalMac, MSPs, community representatives and others to develop investment programmes for major vessels and small vessels.
We also do early rehabilitation, including an exercise programme that starts in the hospital. I think that, together, all those measures to prepare the patient contribute to their quick recovery; it is not just about the surgical technique and doing the stitches.
Putting a ban on using wild animals in place in Scotland should not impact greatly on the employees of travelling circuses that have shown little interest in visiting here.
