At its meeting on 5 October 2021 (7th meeting, 2021), the Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee considered the Code of Conduct for Councillors (the Code).
You did not say why ARIOB should not do it, but you said that it should not. Should the code of practice be subject to the same sort of scrutiny by an oversight body, given the code’s potential to form the basis of cross-compliance for any other payments?
