Today's statement is about qualifications from S3 onwards, but the member's questions are about literacy in the early years.Our proposals include the early intervention strategy, which runs from pre-birth to eight as part of the early years framework and ensures that literacy and numeracy skills can be embedded, aided by smaller class sizes.
