I am, of course, not responsible for the declarations that MSPs have to make. I was quite used to all of that as a local authority member and, personally, I would have no problem in declaring all of that as an MSP, but I am here today to talk about the “Code of Conduct for Councillors”.
If someone had a complaint against an MSP and they were not a member of that MSP’s staff—if they were a Parliament staff member or a staff member of another MSP—it would be dealt with through the code of conduct.

The Minister for International Development and Europe, Dr Alasdair Allan MSP, also had meetings with the Faroe Islands’ Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Poul Michelsen and Finland’s State Secretary, Samuli Virtanen.
In response to Patrick Harvie’s line of questioning, you said that there were not many complaints made against MSPs. There were 30 complaints but there are only 129 MSPs—that number of complaints is quite high compared with the number of MSPs.
