Official Report Meeting date: 10 September 2024

Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee 10 September 2024

If you are receiving only technical advice from the Climate Change Committee, you risk a disconnect between the decisions that MSPs have to make when they vote on legislation or support plans and the difference that that will make to people’s lives.
Official Report Meeting date: 19 June 2024

Rural Affairs and Islands Committee 19 June 2024

I thank both of you for joining us. Edward Mountain MSP is also joining us today. I will let him ask questions after committee members have asked theirs.

Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee 16 April 2024

Specifically what work is going on in councils and the Government around that? As an Edinburgh MSP, I have not seen any progress on that since I was elected.
Official Report Meeting date: 26 March 2024

Official Report Meeting date: 16 January 2024

Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee 16 January 2024

No one is saying that managing the budget is easy—that is for sure—but on the suggestion that there is no time for innovation, I say that this is absolutely the time for innovation. Since I have been an MSP, we have been talking about how we shift resources from reactive to preventative approaches, and we are starting to see that work happening.
Official Report Meeting date: 11 January 2024

Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee 11 January 2024

First, I endorse the points that Mark Ruskell made about Creative Stirling, which has also contacted me, as a local MSP. Just before Christmas, I attended an event at which the person who was there from Creative Scotland felt able to launch an attack on the Scottish Government about funding.
Official Report Meeting date: 15 November 2023

Criminal Justice Committee 15 November 2023

The purpose of stage 1 is to allow people to provide evidence, which is of benefit to MSPs and the Government. I refer Mr Findlay to what I said earlier, which is that the definition aligns closely with the trauma-informed practice framework.
