The Committee received a letter from the Finance and Constitution Committee on 25 March seeking 'to explore a more co-ordinated approach with other Scottish parliamentary committees to developing the Scottish Parliament’s scrutiny role in relation to the new powers arising from the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.'
The Committee stated that “reporting of and commentary about details of complaints prior to and during the Committee's consideration can unhelpfully overshadow the Committee's work and may discourage victims from coming forward in the future."
At its meeting on 14 March 2019 the Committee approved changes to the Code of Conduct to strengthen these rules.
