Currently the access to compensation in cross-border situations is handled by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority which administers the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme to compensate victims of violent crime in Scotland, England and Wales. Northern Ireland has a separate scheme.

Agriculture Market Measures (EU Exit) (Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 (SSI 2019/73) (Rural Economy and Connectivity)
Purpose
These Regulations correct technical deficiencies that will arise in some domestic secondary legislation related to agriculture, in a situation where the UK leaves the EU without a withdrawal agreement in place.

Regulation 19(2)(a) refers to section 39(a) of the 1967 Act, and sub-paragraph (b) refers to paragraph 2 of schedule 4(b) of the 1967 Act.
Committee consideration
The Committee notes that the Cabinet Secretary for the Rural Economy wrote to the Secretary of State on 4 December 2018 seeking an amendment to clause 18 so that any determination made under clause 18, insofar as they relate to Scotland, should only be taken with the consent of the Scottish Ministers.
The Scottish Government estimates that each additional £100m of public sector capital spending in 2017‑18 supports approximately 800 full time equivalent jobs in Scotland, around half of which are in construction.
