Cybercrime and cyber-security in Scotland

Given that some cybercrimes are ‘traditional’ crimes where the internet has been used as a means to commit the crime, they will not have specific crime codes. Therefore, the estimates provided are based on a review of a random sample of crime records across Scotland for the types of crime that could, in theory, involve a cyber-element.
