You said “in due course”. Before I became an MSP, the late Sir Alex Fergusson said that I should avoid the issue of deer in Parliament but that we surely would have it sorted out by then.
I agree with the convener that the financial memorandum will probably not be the determining factor for a lot of MSPs when they come to vote on the issue, but it is what is before us today.
According to staff in our operational delivery unit, the number of inquiries about that from MSPs or members of the public seems to have decreased since this time last year.
