The Committee held different views on whether a UK-wide regulatory regime was the best approach. Some members felt that this would be easier to navigate whilst others thought that stakeholders should be consulted before changes are considered in relation to Scottish elections.
We also suggest there is scope to consider the operation of Patient Access Schemes further to ensure these are best serving the NHS and to look at interactions with the pharmaceutical industry during assessment of medicines.

Like our predecessor Committee we are aware that reducing the differences between those with the best outcomes and those with the poorest has been a priority for every Scottish administration since devolution.
For the Soil Association, it is more about what constitutes best practice and, putting labels aside, saying to farmers, “What is best for your farm and what works best?”
