The Bill also makes provision for matters that were not directly consulted on or which were suggested by respondents to the Scottish Government consultation including:
changing the deadline by which Boundaries Scotland is required to review local government electoral wards
ending the automatic application of changes to House of Commons eligibility rules to MSPs

Section 42 Report
The Committee also received a letter on 25 January from the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands, Mairi Gougeon MSP, and the Minister for Small Business, Innovation, Tourism and Trade, Richard Lochhead MSP, relating to the section 42 report on the CPTPP.
The Minister, Lorna Slater MSP, has committed to consult on the cost of secondary legislation, but that should not replace an assessment of affordability at the point of a Bill’s introduction.
Introduction
At its meetings on 26 September and 3 October 2023iOn 3 October 2023, Rona Mackay MSP substituted for Stuart McMillan MSP., the Committee considered the delegated powers in the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill (“the Bill”) that are exercisable within devolved competence.
An update is expected in the summer.
Claire Baker MSP continued: “While the Committee welcomes the sentiment that Grangemouth is well placed to receive funding for carbon capture, these warm words must now be backed up with a commitment.
