Under section 28(2) of the Interpretation and Legislative Reform (Scotland) Act 2010, instruments subject to negative procedure are to be laid at least 28 days before they come into force, not counting recess periods of more than 4 days. The instrument was laid on 31 August 2022 and will come into force on 1 October 2022.
The new system was scheduled to be introduced after the summer recess. 13. The SPCB also noted that an improved audio system would be installed in the chamber during the summer recess.
I appreciate the period of time to appear before the committee now being post-recess is sub-optimal, but unfortunately in the context of the general election advice being adhered to I would note this is outside of my control.

FATHERS NETWORK SCOTLAND, Cathy Sexton Cathy Sexton, Director of Fathers Network Scotland, gave a presentation about recent developments in FNS work including Resources for Dads & Family; New Learning and Resource Hub for professionals; and Development of Training for Professionals. 1 AOB A date for the next meeting of the group would be found in June, before the summer recess.
That the Parliament agrees, further to motion S6M-00125 and under Rule 2.3.1, that the parliamentary recessdates of 24 December 2021 to 9 January 2022 (inclusive) be replaced with 24 December 2021 to 9 January 2022 (inclusive) with the exception of 29 December 2021 and 5 January 2022, on which dates business may be programmed by the Bureau.
