That almost certainly already happens. Most codes of practice and the British standards to which civil engineers and structural engineers work require such impacts to be taken into account.

It will allow a local authority to assess the overall situation and take effective action, if it is needed, to ensure that a landlord changes practices and if necessary is removed from letting.Section 155 will allow ministers to reinforce those arrangements, if that is necessary, by making a letting code and requiring local authorities to take breaches of the code into account when deciding whether a landlord should be registered.
