Interministerial Group for Net Zero, Energy and Climate Change
The Interministerial Group for Net Zero, Energy and Climate Change also met on 6 May 2025. Gillian Martin MSP, then Acting Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero and Energy, attended on behalf of the Scottish Government.

The majority of the Committee asks the Scottish Government to work with the relevant UK agencies to consider whether a pilot of a universal basic income could take place in Scotland in order to begin to address health inequalitiesiTess White MSP and Sandesh Gulhane MSP dissented from this recommendation..
A total of 14 non-Committee MSPs attended a Committee meeting in connection with 14 separate petitions, with some members making contributions in multiple petitions.
I advise in the strongest possible terms that there is a code of conduct, to which all MSPs are expected to adhere. We must treat all other MSPs with courtesy and respect, and I object to language that suggests otherwise.
