The Minister for Finance and Local Government announced in his Budget Statement an extra £28 million for tackling drugs in Scotland. £11.78 million of this money will be spent measures over the period 2001-02 to 2003-04 on a package of drug-related enforcement measures, including £5.92 million for the Scottish Drug Enforcement Agency.
