If we want to prepare the population to be as resistant as possible to Covid-19 and future pandemics, and to bugs in general, one of the best things that we could do would be to invest in physical activity. The difference that physical activity makes to the immune system is greatest for people who are either inactive or who suffer from long-term health conditions, who are also those most susceptible to Covid-19.
