It also notes the importance of an effective awareness campaign in assisting with compliance and enforcement and altering public perceptions around acceptable driving behaviours (which is considered in more detail earlier in this report).
On 31 March 2015, the SPA Board approved Police Scotland’s 2015-16 capital plan, which included the implementation of its ICT Infrastructure Blueprint, costed at £8.1 million. In particular, the petitioners highlight that, although Scottish councils offer advice and guidance through the scheme of assistance strategy, none of them offers financial support to homeowners aiming to retain and remediate their properties.
What the Bill does
The Bill would create the Scottish Employment Injuries Advisory Council (section 1) with three functions (section 2):
scrutinise regulations on Employment Injury Assistance (EIA)
report on “any matter relevant to Employment Injury Assistance”
carry out, commission or support research into “any matter relevant to Employment Injury Assistance.”

Should the Parliament approve the instrument, the updated fees that would apply to various elements of legal advice and assistance are set out in schedules 1 to 15.
