I understand the context in which he lodged the amendment, but the committee has agreed 2040 as the target date. In that context, the amendment does not fit with the interim target date of 2030 that is now proposed.
That could not happen until after the recess. Because of the summer recess, can we delegate the choice of an adviser to the convener and deputy convener?
