Redress for Survivors (Historical Child Abuse in Care) (Scotland) Bill - Stage 1 Report - The Application Process

Scotland also emphasises the need to consider carefully 'how a decision about the level of payment is communicated to a survivor', suggesting that 'the process must acknowledge that this may be viewed as a way of a survivor's experience being given a certain value or worth' and that 'communication of payment decisions by Redress Scotland must be done sensitively and framed in the right way, with the input of survivors being central to getting that right.'
