The draft SSI was laid before the Scottish Parliament on 21 February 2022 and referred to the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee.
The SPCB considered a first draft of its Session 6 legacy report. Date of next meeting 14. The next meeting of the SPCB was scheduled for 12 March 2026.

COSLA’s submission questioned many of the assumptions used by the FM and states that it “would welcome discussion between Scottish Government, COSLA and Local Government partners to develop a more up to date, reasonable and accurate set of assumptions and cost estimates”.
