To ask the Scottish Government whether social care providers will be expected to contribute to the cost of providing at least the living wage to employees in 2017-18 and what contribution it will make towards this.
We can imagine that, if the language was changed and that was called an assistance cap, there would be an awareness that, although someone needed assistance, they would not get it.
The cabinet secretary noted that the SRDP scheme, which is an EU-related programme, provides committed funding for a period of seven years, which allows for a five to seven-year programme to be designed.
