Our health inspectors, who have done their job for a long time, inspect a host of establishments to enforce the health code. Many of them inspect food establishments.
Any leakage of that information or breach of confidentiality would effectively be a breach of the "Code of Conduct for Members of the Scottish Parliament".
We may also recommend that that code should be agreed, promoted and distributed by organisations such as the St Andrew Society, the Saltire Society and the Heraldry Society of Scotland.
Does your association address that issue? For example, do you have a code of practice, or even a presumption in favour of releasing land for social housing?
We have tried to follow the combined code. We are not required to do that but, for the audit of performance remuneration, we have attempted to set up a structure that follows best practice.
That was in direct contravention of the voluntary code.We have other examples of what we feel are code violations, but the complaints were not upheld by the Advertising Standards Authority.
We envisage that, as most appeals for individual children would be cases of discrimination, they would be brought under the new draft code of practice for Great Britain, which will be published fairly soon.
We do not have time to create the ideal model, which would use a bill to create both a new public sector ombudsman and a model code for public administration for Scotland.
