That would be a sad thing and I do not think that many people want it.The Scottish Executive will be held to account to ensure that the voluntary code is kept to. I do not doubt the genuine reassurances that the Minister for Justice has given us this morning about how we will proceed if people do not adhere to the code.

That is a fact—some people will not disinfect their equipment or pay any attention to the rules and will just break any codes that exist.A number of voluntary codes are already in practice.

There was indeed a submission on how staff are dealt with, but staff have their own code. The question of families and spouses permeates the current code.
